What we mean by Reiki & Breathwork

Reiki (integration & regulation)

Reiki is a gentle, hands-on (or hands-near) practice often experienced as deep rest. In our approach, Reiki supports nervous system regulation and integration — especially after intense periods of stress or after breathwork journeys. No medical claims. Just a calm space for your system to settle.

Breathwork (holotropic-style)

Breathwork uses breathing + music + a held setting to access stored tension and emotion. It can be powerful and at times intense. That’s why we keep groups small, explain everything up front, and always end with grounding and integration.

Safety & contraindications (short)

Is this safe for everyone?
Not always. Breathwork can be intense. If you have heart conditions, uncontrolled high blood pressure, epilepsy, glaucoma/retinal issues, pregnancy, recent surgery, severe asthma, or severe psychiatric history, we may advise against it. You’ll complete an intake form before participating.
Do I have to “go deep”?
No. Your body sets the pace. You can soften the breath, pause, or stop anytime. Depth without safety is just chaos in a nice outfit.
Is this therapy or medical care?
No. This is a wellbeing practice. It can support self-awareness and regulation, but it does not replace medical or psychological treatment.
